Playing Online with the Pros at Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker attracts many new users by offering them the chance to “Learn, Chat, and Play with the Pros,” suggesting that if you want to play poker online, Full Tilt has the most to offer you. Before you find the best Full Tilt referral code and transfer your funds, though, you should know exactly what Full Tilt can offer you.

Full Tilt is currently the second-largest poker site online (after PokerStars), and the increase to this spot comes largely from the fact that they are open to Americans who want to play poker online. After the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in 2006, many big name sites, like Party Poker, withdrew their business from the American market. Full Tilt, which was at the time still a newcomer on the scene, opened their arms to US players and have been rewarded for it.

Unlike most other poker sites, which were founded by businessmen looking to turn a profit, Full Tilt has always involved a team of professionals in their foundation, development, and play. Professional poker players are very important to Full Tilt, which not only claims “Team Full Tilt”– their group of full-fledged members, including the initial brain trust of Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Chris Ferguson, Mike Matusow, and Andy Bloch among 8 others– but also “CardRunners,” “The Hendon Mob,” (both of which also count as “Full Tilt Pros”), the “Full Tilt Pros” not associated with either of these teams, and, finally, “Friends of Full Tilt”.

Perhaps because of the many big name players who frequent the site, Full Tilt has been home to the ten largest online poker pots of all time, as well as the hundred biggest online pots of 2009. Most of the largest pots on Full Tilt are among Team Full Tilt members, who frequently play poker online through the site. Unlike Team Full Tilt, Full Tilt Pros are sponsored by the site, but may or may not spend a considerable amount of time on Full Tilt; many split their time between this and other online poker locales.

Certainly, Full Tilt Poker is swarming with professional poker players, so if you want to play poker online with people who know what they’re doing and are making a career out of the game, this is definitely the site for you. Online poker sites are often ranked based on the skill level of their players, with a weaker average player level often considered better because it allowed skilled players a chance to sweep up on a regular basis as well as giving novice players competition that won’t eat them alive. Full Tilt has a huge number of players, so the average player level isn’t completely thrown by the presence of Team Full Tilt and the Full Tilt Pros (i.e., new players don’t have to immediately sit down with players who have spent years playing the game), but if you’re looking for some competition or want the chance to improve your game, grab a Full Tilt referral code, get your bonus, and come and play.

Online Poker Betting Games are Better than the Rest

Of all the online betting games available to choose from, online poker betting games are probably the most popular. Long before the internet was available, poker was hugely popular but there has been an explosion in recent times. This is down to the availability of the game online and because of the increased awareness and knowledge of the game.

Poker has cleaned up its act in recent times and is definitely seen as a game of the mainstream. This means that a greater number of people are aware of the game and want to play it, which has increased the number of sites where the game is available from.

There are a lot of sites to consider

The wide array of online poker betting games has been of great benefit to poker players because sites have to work hard to grab people’s attention. This has led to many sites offering great bonuses for poker players to join their site and to ensure they keep coming back.

This means that many poker players are available to enjoy their online poker action for a much lower price, which has to be a good thing. All good poker players understand about bankroll management and being offered free money or chips is one great way to manage a bankroll better.

Although bonuses are a great way to entice people to poker sites, it would not be enough to keep players online. This is where the variety of online poker betting games can help a site keep their members happy. There are many different variations of poker and not every player likes to play each one.

Do you prefer Omaha Hi/Lo?

This means that a player that only enjoys Omaha Hi/Lo would be disappointed with a poker site that did not provide this option. All of the main poker games are provided by the majority of online poker sites but if you do like playing a certain style of poker, it is best to check the site offers it before signing up and depositing money.

Online poker betting games also provides the chance for poker players to square off against each other in tournaments, which is a great draw for many people. These tournaments will usually have the best prizes, which is always exciting but they also allow for players to experience the thrill of beating their opponent. This can be one of the most enjoyable and satisfying elements of online poker betting games and can keep many players coming back for more on a regular basis.

Bodog Casino and Poker Room Review

Bodog’s online casino and poker room are two different software downloads, but the cashier transfers over for both. If you sign up for one, your account is active on the other, all you have to do is download the software. Funds deposited on either the casino or the poker room are available in both. They offer a 10% automatic first deposit bonus, so rather than having to accumulate points, as is the case with many online casinos and online poker rooms, you receive your cash bonus for the first deposit the instant you complete the transaction.

Bodog Casino

Bodog Casino is a rather fun online casino to play at. You can find just about any casino game you can imagine, including a wide variety of slots and progressive slots with which you can play while you’re doing other things, (thanks to the auto play feature.) The craps table features great graphics and an easy interface as does the roulette table. The payouts are as good as you can hope for from any online casino, offering some of the highest payoff odds available.

Bodog Poker Room

Bodog’s poker room is a great place to play online poker. Not so much because of the interface, or even the graphics for that matter. In fact, the graphics leave plenty to be desired. What makes Bodog’s poker room fun is the players. This is a great poker room for any shark who knows how to take advantage of a fish. There aren’t as many players at any given time as there might be on poker rooms such as Full Tilt, or Poker Stars, but you don’t seem to find nearly as many dangerous players on these tables. So you may find it easier to win money here.

Cash games are the most popular with this poker room, but there are plenty of SnG and scheduled tournaments available as well. One thing you can find on Bodog’s poker room that is not found in most other poker rooms is the game 5-card stud. So extra points to Bodog Poker for that, though there don’t often seem to be many players interested in the game, it is available for those who do like 5-card stud.

Online Poker Rooms which Still Accept Paypal

Paypal is by far the most popular online payment processors online, with more than 200 million accounts opened until 2010. Despite its popularity, the vast majority of online poker rooms, and other gambling websites such as online casinos, are not accepting Paypal as a method to fund accounts, unlike for example an online poker shop. This is quite remarkable, and can generally be seen as bad news for online poker players and gamblers.

However, there is some good news to tell regarding Paypal poker rooms as well, as there is still a minority of online poker rooms whom accept Paypal payments.

Paypal Poker Rooms

Currently there are seven different poker rooms online which accept Paypal as a payment method to fund accounts, but not all of them are that great. What follows is a short presentation about two of the most popular online poker rooms which still accept Paypal:

888 Poker

  • This is an online poker room that has been around since the early days of online poker. In fact, this poker room was one of the first ever launched, but you might not recognizing the name as they only recently changed it from Pacific Poker to 888 Poker. They are offering real money games since 1997 and have a very loyal and consistent player base. Their software is excellent. You can play on a downloadable -, as well on an instant play version, but best of all, they offer the ability to play online poker in 3D.

bwin Poker

  • This poker room represents one of the biggest and most popular online gambling brands throughout Europe. Their online poker room makes part of the Ongame Network. In fact, bwin is the rightful owner of the Ongame Network. Playing on bwin Poker means you will find a decent amount of traffic all day long, together with a great variety of online poker games and tournaments to choose from.

During the last couple of years, the number of online poker rooms which accept Paypal as a payment method has increased, but be careful which you choose to play at. Pick the ones above, and you’re good! Anyway, let’s keep our fingers crossed that also the bigger rooms such as Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars will follow some day…

Beat the Joker in Bwin Poker’s Sit & Go Promo

In most games of No Limit Hold’em the joker is removed from the deck before play, as it has no bearing on the game. But even though there’s still no joker in the deck in the Bwin Poker The Joker Sit & Go Tournaments, the joker has everything to do with the game. Just not in the way you may think.

In The Joker Tournaments at Bwin Poker, prizes are not necessarily awarded according to performance, or at least not to best performance. Sure, 1st place gets the big prize, but second prize doesn’t go to second place, but rather to fifth place, and third prize, similarly, doesn’t go to third place but to ninth place.

For the next month, until July 25, Bwin Poker is holding The Joker promotion, a Sit & Go freeroll tournament, each one with a $1,000 prize pool along with $1,000 added to a weekly tournament leaderboard.

These 10 seater Sit & Gos have a $2.20 buy-in and start players out with 1,500 in starting chips with a Turbo schedule in which blinds go up every 3 minutes.

Even those players who aren’t able to finish any The Joker tournaments in the money are still given another opportunity to win, with the I Lost The Joker Freeroll in which players can compete for a share of a $1K weekly guaranteed prize pool. These I Lost The Joker consolation freeroll tournaments happen on Saturday’s until July 24 at 17:00 GMT.

Just like in the prize structure for the actual Joker Sit & Gos, the weekly leaderboard will be awarded the same, with prizes going to 1st, 5th, and 9th in the same ratios of 50%, 30%, and 20%, respectively.

In the case of these $1,000 prize pools, that breaks down to $500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place.

It’s a good old-fashioned Texas showdown (Texas Holdem, that is). Because when they say Country Showdown, Bwin Poker is not talking about the Midwest of the United States. They’re talking about the countries around the world being represented in the Bwin Poker Weekly Country Showdown of poker, an ongoing promotion of national pride running every week on Monday nights.

Bwin Poker’s Weekly Country Showdown is a country restricted event, which means that you can only play in the event for your country and therefore will only be competing against your fellow countrymen (and women) for the title of best online poker player in your country for that week.

Each event in the Bwin Poker Weekly Country Showdown is a No Limit Texas Holdem event with a $3+ $0.30 buy-in and a prize pool, depending on the number of entrants, of up to $3,000, though guaranteed to be at least $300. All events are rebuy tournaments and add-on tournaments.

Each country’s event has a different name and scheduled time. The participating countries, and the names of their respective Bwin Poker Weekly Country Showdown events, are listed (alphabetically) below. But you must check the Bwin Poker site itself for the exact time for your country.
